Vehicle Release Fee (VRF)
A VRF notice is not a Parking Charge and you are under no obligation to pay it. In most cases, it means your vehicle has been locked in a car park after the advertised closing time, which is displayed at the entrance to the car park.
You can choose whether to leave your vehicle until the car park opening time (displayed on the notice attached to your windscreen) free of charge, or request an on-call officer visit your location and release your vehicle.
A VRF payment is charged to cover the cost of an officer attending the site to unlock the gates. It is not charged per vehicle – if there are multiple vehicles in your party, and you all exit the park at the same time, only one VRF payment is required.
All VRF payments are via our secure online payment portal. Our officers do not accept and will never ask for cash payments.
